The annual Singapore Games Creation Competition (SGCC) for secondary school students is here again! Held at the School of Interactive and Digital Media, Nanyang Polytechnic, 80 secondary school students gathered to create games based on the Olympic values. Do you still remember what the 3 values are?

Just a recap. They are:
Excellence, Friendship and Respect.

Only top 20 teams from Stage 1 (Web Games) were selected to attend the 5-day Stage 2 (3D Games) workshop starting from today till this coming Friday, 5 Sep 2008. Each team will then need to develop a 3D-game after attending workshops conducted by NYP teachers and students.

Gaming is definitely fun and easy. I am sure everyone, young and old, loves gaming. But have you ever thought of creating and designing your own game? Well, it is not as easy as how we spend our leisure hours gaming away.

So World of War Craft plus EFR? What will come out of this funky hybrid?!

Let us sit back, relax and anticipate yet another exciting year of interactive games produced by our very own breed of talented teens!

Make It. Own It. Game It.
