Hold your horses…Laurentia Tan won Singapore’s second Paralympic Bronze medal on Thursday, 11 September.
As I was saying in an earlier post, the Individual Freestyle Grade 1A event in Hong Kong she competed on Thursday was going to be a tough challenge because she is born with profound deafness.
She needed to perform with great precision since her horse needed to be in sync with the music. Her coach could only signal to her the start and the end of the music piece. Despite all these difficulties, she still emerged third.
The best part lies here…her horse’s name is “Nothing to lose“. Ain’t that something.
Laurentia’s winning spirit is more than just a bronze. Three cheers for this feisty lady!
