Here’s another treat for Singaporeans. Swimmer Yip Pin Xiu won Singapore’s first Paralympic silver medal in the 50-metre freestyle in Beijing on Saturday, 13 September.

She even broke the world and paralympic record in the heats with the timing of 57.04 seconds. However, she finished with 57.43 sec in the finals. Nonetheless, Yip Pin Xiu still finished strong and manged to bring a medal back to Singapore. 🙂
